January 25, 2021 News Release: State Lifts Regional Stay-at-Home Order in San Joaquin Valley

The Regional Stay-at-Home Order has been lifted for Tulare County and the San Joaquin Valley, State officials and the California Department of Public Health announced today. The action comes as the four-week hospital ICU capacity projections for the San Joaquin Valley region climbs above 15%, the threshold that allows regions to exit the order.

January 22, 2021 News Release: Tulare County Establishes Senior Citizen Hotline for COVID Vaccine Information

Seniors and residents having trouble accessing the online interest form can call the Tulare County Senior Information and Assistance Hotline at 1-800-321-2462. In addition, to avoid further overwhelming the call center, county residents should visit the COVID Vaccine webpage for information rather than calling 2-1-1.

Tulare County’s 2-1-1 Call Center is overwhelmed with calls, and officials are asking residents to refrain from calling 2-1-1 for COVID vaccine information, but rather complete the COVID Vaccine Interest Form if seeking an appointment to get vaccinated in Tulare County.

The Tulare County Health & Human Service Agency (HHSA) has partnered with the United Way of Tulare County to activate a COVID Vaccine Call Center for residents seeking information about the vaccine for COVID-19. HHSA is seeking volunteers to assist in the rollout and distribution of the vaccine.

The OptumServe COVID-19 Community Testing sites located in Dinuba, Porterville, and Tulare will be modifying testing operations for the holidays. Free COVID-19 testing will still be available; however, appointments will be accepted, and the sites will be open on altered days.

Tulare County and the San Joaquin Valley will be under the Regional Stay Home Order as Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Capacity in the region dropped below 15% availability triggering the order effective in Tulare County beginning Sunday, December 6 at 11:59 p.m.
