The County of Tulare Public Health Branch confirms the sixth death from COVID-19 in the county. The individual passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, was over 65 and the transmission type was unknown. 

April 4, 2020 NEWS RELEASE: Tulare County Public Health Branch Reveals Community Spread of COVID-19 Present in Tulare County

Tulare County Public Health Branch has confirmed community spread of COVID-19 in Tulare County as there are multiple clusters of COVID-19 and several cases with unknown source. Community spread, or transmission, means the spread of an illness for which the source of infection is unknown or cannot be directly traced back to a known exposure.

March 17, 2020 NEWS RELEASE: Tulare County Offers Virtual Public Health Town Hall to Discuss COVID-19

The County of Tulare Board of Supervisors and Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency are hosting a virtual town hall meeting Tuesday evening, March 17, 2020, to share information about the new coronavirus.

The meeting is scheduled to take place from 7:00– 8:00 p.m. and slated to be live streamed online and Facebook at https://tchhsa.org/ncov and https://www.facebook.com/TulareCountyHHSA/.

COVID-19- Update for March 17, 2020. Tulare County remains at 3 Positive cases and 78 individuals under self-quarantine.

UPDATE 3/16/2020, 8:00 p.m.

UPDATE 3/16/2020, 8:00 p.m.: Tulare County has received notice of a new positive case of COVID-19, putting three total cases in the County of Tulare, with 73 individuals under self-quarantine. The patient in this new case is acutely ill and in the Kaweah Delta District Hospital. More details will be released as they become available.
