Every Woman Counts

Every Woman Counts

At Every Woman Counts, staff aim to detect breast and cervical cancer as early as possible, so affected women can receive timely treatment. The service is offered free of charge to women without health insurance, and those who have Medi-Cal or Medicare, at our Visalia and Farmersville Health Care Centers. It includes breast exams, mammograms, pelvic exams, and Pap tests, plus follow-up services for women with possible diagnoses of breast or cervical cancer, and referrals for treatment when necessary.

Finding and treating cancer early means survival. Many women do not realize that if you are 21 years or older you should have a Pap smear every three years, and if you are 40 years or older, you need a yearly clinical breast exam and mammogram.
