Mental Health Court provides mental health treatment as an alternative to jail for eligible defendants. Eligibility determination is based on crimes committed, mental health diagnosis, and current functioning. The program provides courts with resources to improve participants’ social functioning and link them to employment, housing, treatment, and support services.
