As HHSA's Deputy Director of Public Health Operations, Staci Chastain is responsible for overseeing the Tulare County Health Centers and Public Health Prevention Programs. In this role, she oversees key functions, including strategic planning, coordination of service delivery, implementation of health policy and program development, and preservation of the public's health through effective leadership.

With over 13 years of experience in the social services sector, Staci joined the HHSA in 2015 as the Division Manager for TulareWORKs and later transitioned to the Public Health Branch, where she uses her knowledge and experience in social services programs to boost health services through coordination of Agency programs and leveraging of resources to enhance program capacity.

Prior to joining the County, Staci served in a key leadership role over a non-profit organization that provided services to disadvantaged populations throughout California. A native of Visalia, Staci is committed to ensuring a healthier, thriving Tulare County by strengthening the services provided to its residents.

Staci is credentialed as a County Senior Executive through the California State Association of Counties (CSAC), a former ambassador of the Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, volunteer for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, and an alumni of Leadership Visalia through the Visalia Chamber of Commerce. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and a master’s degree in leadership studies from Fresno Pacific University.
