Booster Seat or Seatbelt?

Booster Seat or Seatbelt?

Unsure if your older child needs to continue riding with a booster seat? Follow the 5-Step test before moving to the seat belt alone:

1. Is your child sitting tall so their whole back is touching the seatback?

2. Do your child’s knees bend comfortably at the edge of the seat?

3. Does the belt cross the shoulder between their neck and arm?

4. Is the lap belt touching the tops of their legs?

5. Can your child sit like this for the whole trip?

If you answered “no” to any of these questions, keep your child in a booster seat. Children are safest to ride in the seat belt alone, only after answering “yes” to all 5 questions.
