Established in 2018, the mission of the Local Oral Health Program is to improve the oral health of all county residents through prevention, education, and organized community efforts.

Tulare County will create and expand capacity at the local level to educate, aid in prevention, and provide linkages to treatment programs for dental disease, including that caused by the use of cigarettes and other tobacco products. Tulare County will create program activities related to the community's oral health, including education, disease prevention, linkage to treatment, case management, and surveillance.
