As vaccination efforts ramp up throughout Tulare County, the Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency’s COVID Vaccine Call Center is available to help assist residents with securing vaccination appointments over the phone. The COVID Call Center is available to assist the elderly without internet and non-English–speaking residents in obtaining a vaccination for COVID-19; simply call (559) 685-2260.

Tulare County residents and workers who are currently eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and have been unable to secure an appointment elsewhere can now get vaccinated at the County’s mass vaccination clinic located at the International Agri-Center in Tulare.

March 16, 2021 News Release: Tulare County Moves into Less Restrictive Red Tier for Reopening, Officials Urge Eligible Residents to Get Vaccinated

State officials announced today that Tulare County is now within the lower Substantial Risk Level – Red Tier of reopening under the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. Due to steadily declining COVID case metrics and increased vaccination efforts, Tulare County has moved from the Widespread Risk Level – Purple Tier into the less restrictive Red Tier, effective March 17.

Tulare County Public Health has updated its COVID Vaccine Plan and is now offering vaccinations to those eligible with underlying and high-risk health conditions. People 16-64 years of age who have an underlying heath condition or disability which increases their risk of severe COVID-19 can now make an appointment to get vaccinated.

Tulare County Public Health has updated its COVID Vaccine Plan and is now offering vaccinations to those eligible in Tier 1 of Phase 1B. The county continues to vaccinate those eligible in all tiers of Phase 1A and residents age 65 and older. Eligibility in Tier 1 of Phase 1B includes frontline workers in the following sectors: Education and Childcare; Emergency Services; Food and Agriculture Workers.

January 25, 2021 News Release: State Lifts Regional Stay-at-Home Order in San Joaquin Valley, Effective January 25 Pandemic is Far from Over, Residents Urged to Wear Masks, Avoid Social Gatherings, and Get Vaccinated When Eligible

The Regional Stay-at-Home Order has been lifted for Tulare County and the San Joaquin Valley, State officials and the California Department of Public Health announced today. The action comes as the four-week hospital ICU capacity projections for the San Joaquin Valley region climbs above 15%, the threshold that allows regions to exit the order.

January 22, 2021 News Release: Tulare County Establishes Senior Citizen Hotline for COVID Vaccine Information, Vaccine Supply is LIMITED – Residents Urged to Complete COVID Vaccine Interest Form and Do Not Call Vaccine Clinic Locations

Seniors and residents having trouble accessing the online interest form can call the Tulare County Senior Information and Assistance Hotline at 1-800-321-2462. In addition, to avoid further overwhelming the call center, county residents should visit the COVID Vaccine webpage for information rather than calling 2-1-1.

Tulare County’s 2-1-1 Call Center is overwhelmed with calls, and officials are asking residents to refrain from calling 2-1-1 for COVID vaccine information, but rather complete the COVID Vaccine Interest Form if seeking an appointment to get vaccinated in Tulare County.
