Are you struggling to provide the basic necessities for your family? The CalWORKs (California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids) program provides temporary cash assistance to families with children to help pay for necessities like clothing, housing, and food.
For Cash Aid benefits, the amount of cash aid a family may be eligible to receive depends on several factors, such as the family’s size, income, and any special needs of family members.
CAPI is a program that provides cash assistance for aged, blind, or disabled non-citizens in California who are ineligible for SSI/SSP solely due to their immigration status. A CAPI applicant must apply for SSI/SSP or submit other proof of ineligibility from the Social Security Administration. Payment amounts for CAPI are dependent on the individual's living arrangements, marital status, and income.
A CAPI application may be submitted in person, by mail, fax, or phone. For questions, assistance, or to apply by phone, call 1-800-540-6880. To apply in person, please visit your local TulareWORKs District Office.
