Introducing Adventure Paws

Introducing Adventure Paws

Tulare County Animal Services is introducing a new program called Adventure Paws to the public! You can take one of their dogs out for the day and have your own adventure! You must be at least 18 years old to participate and have a reliable vehicle, but beyond that the possibilities are endless. You could go shopping at a dog-friendly store, go for a walk, take a hike, or hang out at home and watch a movie. Regardless, it's sure to be a Doggone Good Time!

The process is simple: just sign up for a time to stop by Tulare County Animal Services and pick up a dog friend between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. You’ll fill out an application, and TCAS staff will bring you a dog that is friendly and that seems to match your plans for the day. Then off you go to have some fun! Staff will send along with you all the supplies you might need for your day, including a leash and collar and a kit that contains poo bags, water, water bowl, treats, a blanket, toy, and their Do’s and Don’ts information sheet. Make sure to bring your new friend back before 2 p.m. the same day.

All TCAS asks is that you take some photos and fill out the pet’s report card to let them know how your dog did! TCAS will use the information you provide to help find a forever home for that pet. Use the link below to sign up for any available date, Tuesday through Saturday. TCAS hopes to hear from you soon!
