Community Health Fairs Held for National Public Health Week

Community Health Fairs Held for National Public Health Week

A series of community health fairs will be held in the first full week of April as Tulare County Public Health celebrates National Public Health Week (NPHW). Throughout the week of April 7 – 12, Tulare County Public Health Branch and community partners are providing education and resources with the aim of enhancing access to care and building healthier communities.

According to the American Public Health Association (APHA), communities across the United States observe NPHW as a time to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight key health issues. As the organizer for 30 years, APHA develops annual campaigns and resources to educate the public, policymakers, and practitioners on each year's theme. This year the theme is "It Starts Here."

Join us in celebrating 30 years of National Public Health Week!  For more information, visit www.nphw.org.
